It's already getting close to the middle of October and I have noticed that the daylight hours are definitely getting shorter. I'm still hoping for some nice weather some weekend as I've still need to do an oil change, fresh antifreeze, and a few other projects before winter comes. I hope you're all getting time for your projects as well. I've been told that we've received about 35 members renewing for next year already. That's about half of the membership. Please try to get your dues into John as soon as you can, that will allow us to get next years roster done and able to be passed out at our banquet. I have polled this year's slate of officers and can report that Sallie and Don Comstock, John Strampher, Jim Martoza (in his role as editor), and Grace and Bill Wegener have all agreed to

continue in their current positions for another year if asked by the membership. Ron Kohl has asked that his duties as Historian be passed on to someone else, Ron has done that job for many years and I'd like to thank him for his efforts. Jim Martoza has also requested that someone new fill the Activities Coordinator position for next year. Keep in mind though that all of our positions (including mine) are open and available to anyone who would like to be nominated for a job. Make your wishes known at the next meeting, when nominations are opened. Gail and I won't be able to attend the next meeting; I'll be in Denver for a week at the data center so Lee will be filling in for me. Thanks Lee.
See you all in November.
Jim
