We had great weather for our Sunday drive. Tom & Sharon Lauderback lead the group from Bellevue to Redmond in their '56 210 4 Door Sedan. Along with them were Lee & Carol Folsom (modern), Dave & Betty Roberts with the top down in their '65 Impala SS Convertible. At Redmond waiting were Dick & Fran Olson in a '77 Chevy Pick-up, Ron & Janie Kohl in a '72 Blazer, & Jim Martoza driving a '54 210 2 Door Sedan. We had one more vehicle join us at Remlinger Farms. It was a '55 Bel Air 4 Door Sedan with John Strampher, his mother Edna, his aunt Barbara from Arizona, his sister Kathleen, John's great niece Haley. Wow, that's a car full. Thanks again for Tom & Sharon Lauderback for leading this tour. They did such a wonderful job, they planned this month's tour, read below. Jim

October's Tour A Scenic Drive on North bound backroads, returning on historic Chuckanut Drive.
Our October tour is set for Sunday, October 21st and is much longer than usual (approx.180 miles). From our preview run, the colorful fall foliage and scenery should make it worth it. Traffic this time of year is light so it will be pretty easy to stay together. Due to the length of the tour, we will be starting much earlier than normal. Meet at the Bellevue Dairy Queen at 9:00am, with departure at about 9:10. We will be traveling north to pick up the northenders at the junction of hwy 522 and hwy 9. From Dairy Queen, head north on 405, exit onto 522 east bound and take the third exit to hwy 9. At the top of the exit ramp turn right and continue several blocks to Vintage Auto Parts parking lot. (The address is 24300 Snohomish -Woodinville Rd) We should be arriving here about 9:30 and leaving by 9:40. If you miss us at either of these locations, head north on hwy 9 and you can catch us at Burger King in either Arlington (just east of hwy 9 at 204th St. NE, at about 10:00) or Sedro Woolley (just west of hwy 9 on hwy 20, at about 11:00), where we will be stretching our legs briefly. We will be taking hwy 9 north to Sedro Woolley and from there backroads northwest to the edges of Lake Samish and cruise into the Fairhaven district of Bellingham. This is the older part of Bellingham, which in a few blocks space has a collection of small cafes, art galleries and interesting shops. We will be spending about an hour and a half exploring & eating lunch (on your own, so either bring some $ or pack a lunch) and then we will be heading south on the famous Chuckanut drive along the water. We will continue taking backroads through the farm lands to just south of Stanwood with a quick good bye in Silvana and then on to the freeway where you can find your own path home. We estimate this will be about 4:30pm. Be sure to start with a full tank of gas, although we will be making a few stops if you need to refill. Hope to see you there. Tom & Sharon Lauderback
