Hi there.
Just a quick note on an omission on the prospectus' that were sent out to all Regions for the N.W.Meet here in Victoria.  As you probably all know by now, we don't have too many streets or roads here in Canada so we couldn't see any sense in leaving a spot for you to write in yours on the first page of FORM A.  If you could please pass this along to your members when completing the prospectus' could you write your address somewhere near the first three or four lines, we'll find it.  Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all in July.

Hello All,

The prospectus for the 2002 Northwest Meet will soon be available to you and, since Blanch and I just returned from visiting the Capital City region in Victoria, BC, I have some information you may find useful if you are planning on attending.
The fee to ride the Canadian ferry to Victoria is currently $31 US for car, driver and one passenger one way.  We had no problems entering Canada or returning, Blanch had a passport and I had a driver's license & a birth certificate.  Some sort of state or federally issued picture I.D. is essential for an easy border crossing.
The rate of exchange for currency is currently (3/20/02) 1.54 so our US dollars go a long way up there.  If you are taking the Canadian ferries one strategy you might consider to get the best rate of exchange is to pay for the ferry ride to Victoria in a large US bill and you will get your change in Canadian money at the official exchange rate with no fees
or discounts for the service.
One more thing, when you mail your meet registration forms be sure to have at least 85 cents in stamps on the envelope.  The packet will weigh just over an ounce and it will be going out of the US so postage is higher than you are used to.
