General Membership Meeting Minutes [May 20, 2002]
Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 7:35 by director Jim Darby with a reminder that this will be the last meeting at Tillicum until September. June is the Strawberry Tour, July is the 4th of July Picnic, and August is the meeting at Issaquah XXX.
General Business: The treasury is doing OK after paying two months worth of publishing the Tappet Clatter. The VCCA chat site has been upgraded already by Bill Barker. There is lots of new stuff including an on line ballot to get votes on questions asked by the board and members in general. Lots of parts are being offered and sold on this site, check it out! http://www.vccachat.org/
Swap Meets: Monroe Swap meet was attended by a few members who who reported it was pretty big. Those selling, Dave Roberts & Steve Grissom said it was pretty good sales wise.
Tours & Club Activities: The May Tune-up day was attended by 4 families; Strampher and mom, Wegeners, Darbys and host Comstocks. We worked on Bill's '54 sedan and Comstock's corvair. The June tour is the 23rd. Meet at noon to tour around Lake Washington. We will have lunch at Coulon Park at the Ivars. Because of the NW Meet in July we will have the anniversary BBQ at either the Strawberry fest in June or the August BBQ at John Strampher's home.
Tonight's program : Lee Folsom presented using a 6 volt fuel gauge with a 12 volt battery by adding a #57 or 1895 bulb to the circuit. Bill Barker discussed his experience hooking up lights for towing a trailer. He provided sample drawings of wiring up your trailer. See page 3 for 2000 Chevy truck wiring. Another wiring diagram for the SilverLite Trailer on page 4. Rod Schein showed us a 1940 Passenger Car Wiring Diagram.
Respectfully submitted, Don Comstock
