Jim's Journal

With the Northwest Meet less than 2 weeks away, I'm sure everybody else is all ready and I'm the only one still scrambling to get everything done before it's time to take off.  Right ?????  Actually, I got an update from our neighbors to the north and it looks like they have about 115 registrations.  It should be a fun time.  Gail and I are looking
forward to seeing a lot of old friends again this year.

Another note on the border crossing, and please do with this as you see fit.  My folks had some friends just recently cross and coming back into the States the wife was
hassled.  She had her birth certificate and Drivers license, but since she wasn't
foresighted enough to be born with her married name, the crossing people asked to see her Marriage License.  A call to the Immigration office confirmed this, almost as if I was stupid to have not realized that this was of course what they wanted.  My guess is that it depends on the crossing agent, his/her mood, whether they're busy or who knows?  Might not hurt to just have it along.

See you at the meet.
