Rod & Jerrys' Relays

January 2004 and here we are on the doorstep of our Annual Banquet.  It's been a great year and I look forward to this next season of Chevrolet activities and events.  Also, as we gear up for the NW Meet in 2005, it's special to see all of you pitch in and help with the planning and arrangements.  Since Jerry Brownell and I are sharing the Directorship, we will be alternating writing this column and leading the meetings.  So, next month Jerry will be writing in this space.  I look forward to this and welcome his perspective.
This month's meeting will feature Forest from FC Plating.  He and I know each other fairly well as he has done quite a bit of work on my chrome and stainless for my '40 Chev.  From our conversations we have had, I know he will be an interesting speaker and we should learn quite a bit about re-chroming and restoring stainless.  On Thursday, January 29th, following our general meeting on the 26th, we will have our first exec meeting at John Strampher's home at 7:00pm.  As with all exec meetings, they are open to all of our members and we appreciate it when you can come to help us brainstorm and plan our club events.  This promises to be a rich time of brainstorming and planning by you and our new team of officers.  I hope you can come.  See you on the 24th at the Banquet.
In the Relay with you, Rod

2005 NW Meet Planning Meeting

January 26th at 6:15 PM (this is 1 1/4 hour prior to our regular meeting) we will have a NW Meet Planning meeting.  We will meet again at the Jim and Gail Darby's home that is just north of the school, call for directions if needed.  If you have any ideas or just want to attend to listen please feel free to come.  Last month, we agreed to hold the meet in Bellingham.  There are lots of functions and tasks to make up a meet that all our guests and we will enjoy.  Please get involved in any way you can small or large.  Please join us or share your suggestions with any Club Officer.      Gail will have something to eat, so no one will go hunger to the regular meeting.  Feel free to come at 6:00PM.  Thanks

Help create the theme for the 2005 NW Meet!!!

We are looking for a theme for the 2005 NW Meet.  Give us your ideas and we hope to have members vote on the best three with a prize (more later on what) to the person that submitted the idea.  Meet will be in Bellingham in 2005, this is the 34th annual meet.  Traditional stone for 34th anniversary is the opal.

Give your ideas to any club officer; we hope to vote on the best at the February meeting.
