Bob & Jerrys' Relay

The transition from 2004 to 2005 has required me to shift gears as I remember the dedicated club members who have served in leadership positions to the new gear in the transmission that contains all of the new Board of Directors and Leaders who will guide us down the highway of 2005.  It has been a full year of activities and events, as well as a wonderful learning experience for us.  I have been grateful for the mentorship that Rod Schein has provided me this past year, and I look forward to working side by side with our new Co-Director, Bob Helgeson.

I have observed and appreciated his enthusiasm as club historian and promoter of activities last year.  It will indeed be a pleasure to work with Bob and all of the other leaders who have assumed positions for the new year 2005:

Assistant Directors- Jim Martoza and Lee Folsom
  Secretary-Jim Farris
  Treasurer-Sally Comstock
  Membership Secretary-Donna Onat
Editors-Dave Haddock and helper on request-Jim Martoza
Activity Coordinators-Don Comstock, Ana Maria & George Haley
  Club Store-Dave and Betty Roberts
Historians-Will Borhauer, Don Boltz & John Strampher

By the time you read this your new Board of Directors will have had their first meeting, as last years' Board of Directors set January 13th for the first Board Meeting to be held at the home of Donna Onat.  (Reference the October, 2004 issue of the Tappet Clatter, page 4)

The year 2005 should be an exciting year as we anticipate hosting the upcoming Costal Hi-ways & Country By-ways 34th VCCA Northwest Meet in Bellingham, Washington, August  2nd through August 7th, 2005, under the direction of Steve Grissom and his dedicated planning committee.

I look forward to seeing you at the Annual Puget Sound VCCA Banquet, Saturday, January 22nd.

In the Relay with you, Jerry
