HEY!!! The team that put together the club's 40th anniversary party in Centralia sure did a great job!! The food, the games, the cake, the DVD, the tour, the pictures, entertainment, prizes, everything, WOW!! Well done!! Thanks!!
Now it's time for the feast at the Darby's that takes the place of our General Meeting this month (Sept. 24). Good food and good company makes it a fun event for our spouses too. The food is purchased from club funds so there is nothing you have to bring except yourselves. If you do have something extra you would like to share at the table, bring it along.
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, October the 9th. That is when we will be holding our third Board Meeting for this year. It will be at the home of Bill and Ann Damm, starting at 7:00 PM. If everyone parks tight every one should be able to fit in our driveway. If not, there are places to park near the RR tracks. The main discussion will be the fate of future NW Meets. Any members interested in attending the Board Meeting are welcome. The more input on this matter the better. On Saturday, October 20th there will be an Area 3 Directors Meeting in Centralia to discuss changes to NW Meets. We will be using the results from all of the Area 3 Region Board Meetings on this topic to help make any decisions on changes. Bill Damm

September 24 Meeting and Program
Help us say good-bye to Summer and welcome in Autumn with our September get-together and BBQ at the Darby's house. The club will provide meat for the BBQ, dinner rolls and/or garlic bread, sweet corn if available, assorted soft drinks, coffee, and water, as well as the paper plates, silverware, napkins and cups.
Jim and Gail will provide a big bowl of mustard potato salad and big pot of baked beans. Other potluck side dishes and desserts would be appreciated to help round out the meal. VCCA members can arrive any time after 6 PM to visit before eating if they like. We plan to eat by 6:30 PM, as it will be getting dark earlier. Should it rain that day, we have the school cafeteria reserved as a back up location. If it looks like rain, check for a broadcast email or call
the Darby's for the location.

September 30th Tour
Puyallup & Potluck at John Strampher's
Join us on Sunday, September 30th and we will tour on scenic country roads to John Strampher's home in Puyallup. This tour is being designed by Al Howe and Jerry Brownell. The tour will leave the northwest parking lot at South Center Mall at 11:00 AM and arrive at John's house around 1:30 PM for a potluck lunch. Besides his Chevy's, John has some home decorating to show us. John will supply a couple of salads, sliced meat, water, coffee, paper plates, silverware, etc. Bring something to share on the potluck table, a folding chair or two, along with your appetite for a great time and good food.
