The third Board Meeting of the year for the Puget Sound Region VCCA group was called to order at 7:00 PM by Director Bill Damm at the Damm's lakeside home on Tuesday October 9, 2007.  Members present were Ann and Bill Damm, Jim Farris, Bob Helgeson, Jim Martoza, Sallie Comstock, Ana and George Haley, Evie and Rod Schein, Donna Onat,  Bob Stamnes, Phyllis and George Kowats, Betty and Dave Roberts, Mary and Jerry Brownell, Dave and Diane Haddock, and Dick Jones.  An agenda of items for discussion was distributed.
Donated Auto Manuals - Larry Mathews, a former member of PSVCCA donated a collection of Auto repair manuals to the club.  It was decided that they would be brought to the club auction in February and members would be able to purchase them at the auction. 
Thank You Cards - Bill Damm passed thank you cards for the donated materials around to the attendees to sign.  They will be sent to Larry Mathews, and Jose at the XXX drive-in for the door prizes he donated for our August meeting there.
September Meeting - A discussion was held about returning the September meeting to the school.  Jerry Brownell made a motion to return the meeting to the school, seconded by Bob Helgeson, unanimous positive vote by the attendees.
Club Meetings during June, July, August  - a discussion was held about whether the club should schedule regular meetings during the summer months and possible locations where they might be held.  It was decided that this decision should be left to the new board convening in 2008.
Tappet Clatter Space Concerns - Bill Damm raised the issue of whether we should eliminate birthdays and anniversaries from the newsletter to save that space.  Jim Farris reported that currently space is not a problem and that he adjusts font size as needed to gain space.
Safety Focal - A definition of the position was submitted by Bill Damm.  The position will be an appointed position with Bill Damm as the first appointee.
Xmas Party - Comstock's have volunteered to host the Xmas party again this year.  It was suggested that next year the Board should consider alternatives to having them at members' houses.
Membership Renewals - Jim Martoza has set up a new form for membership renewals.  Everyone with an Email address should have received one.
January Banquet - The Banquet will be held January 26^th.  A notice and the menu will be included in the Tappet Clatter.

2010 Northwest Meet - George Kowats has volunteered to head up the planning for the 2010 NW Meet.  Jim Farris made some recommendations based on the recent 4-6 tour that were well received.
