Puget Sound Region VCCA General Meeting Minutes
October 22, 2007

Call to Order - The Meeting was called to order at Tillicum Middle School at 7:32 pm by Director Bill Damm. 
Welcome - Three guests were introduced; Doug Chamberlain, West Seattle, he has a '36  1-1/2  ton that he is converting to a ½ ton.  Dick Edwards, Bellevue, '67 Camaro.  Terry Beedle, '25 1 ton.
Leads and Needs - Passed clipboard around Leads and Needs, a signup sheet for refreshments was also passed around. 
Secretary - Minutes accepted as printed in Tappet Clatter.
Treasurers Report - Sallie reported that the club continues to be solvent.  A question was raised about a donation to the Mt. Rainier club for the 2008 NW Meet.  It was decided to discuss the topic at the next Board Meeting in January.
Membership - Donna reported that we have 24  paid up members.  Donna reminded everyone that she has a supply of PSVCCA Business Cards that members can use as an introduction to prospective new members.  Roster updates are available and should have been received via email.  If anyone has a problem with them, let Jim Martoza know.
National News - Bill Barker reported that Leigh Wilcox is the new Secretary of the Board.  Michael Welch will lead a new marketing function that will change the way the club is marketed.  Bill reminded everyone to vote for the candidates for the National Board.  The voting card is in the last G&D.  See Jim Martoza if you are interested in ordering a 2008 National Calendar. 
Garage Nights - Dick Olsen reported that no new garage nights will be scheduled until next spring.
Glove Box - Nothing new.  If you have items get them to Al Howe or Jim Darby.
Activities - Rod Schein is planning on putting together a DVD of all the activities this year
Historian - Bob Helgeson needs pictures from some of the events that he wasn't able to attend.  Bob still has coffee cups for sale if yours is not looking so well after washing in the dishwasher.
Tappet Clatter - Jim Farris needs spotlight articles and other articles for the newsletter. 
By-Law Changes  - The proposed changes to the By-Laws that were published in the last two issues in the Tappet Clatter were voted on.  Jerry Brownell made a motion to approve the changes and George Kowats seconded the motion.  The motion was passed with a unanimous vote.
Lemay Museum - The Lemay Museum had invited the club to make a donation.  Bill Damm asked if there was any interest, after some discussion a motion was made to not support this.  The motion was seconded and approved by the attendees.
Train Tour - Bill Barker reported the status of the Portland Club traveling to Seattle November 3rd and 4th.  The tour is well planned and should be a great success.
Break Refreshments - Refreshments were provided by Bill Damm.  Coffee by Bob Helgeson.
Club Store - 50/50 Al Howe won 1st prize, Jim Martoza won 2nd prize.  Door Prizes were won by Al Howe, Dave Roberts, Dick Jones and two by Bob Helgeson.
Directors Meeting - Bill Damm reported that he and Jim Martoza attended the recent Directors Meeting and a primary topic was the future of the NW Meets.  The consensus was that the meets should continue as they are.
2010 NW Meet - George Kowats has volunteered to lead the planning for the meet.  He is looking for volunteers to help put this together.
Miscellaneous - Bob Stamnes asked about a program around auto body repair.  Don Comstock talked about having a one day session in the future, time and place to be determined.  NW Meet 2008: Ramada Inn in Ocean Shores had 40 rooms left.
There were 29 attendees and the meeting was adjourned at 9:21 pm.
