Each year, the Puget Sound Region of the VCCA hosts an annual dinner banquet. It is usually held in January so that we get a good rate at the restaurants, and also don't have to fight the holiday crowds. This year we held it in Kenmore at the Something-something Bar and Grill... I can't remember the exact name.... but boy-o-boy was the food ever great!!! A number of awards were given out. I'll list them later after they show up in our monthly newsletter (! ha!). And then we played the world famous C-H-E-V-O game. Twelve people won "store-bought" presents!! It was a fun game and the moderator told some really, really funny jokes.... oops, that was me... hee hee. Anyhoo, maybe I'll stick one at the bottom of this page. Check there to see if I did! ha ha... oops, must of had one two many martinis.... Actually that's all I had was just one. And who says that you can't have a good time with only minor amounts of firewater. Some people showed up that we haven't seen in a while. I think that they'll return. After all, where can you have this much fun, with so many good people, and still get change back from your twenty dollar bill for dinner?? |
There was this blond woman who phoned the police to report that thieves had been in her car. "They've stolen the dashboard, the steering wheel, the brake pedal, even the accelerator," she cried. "Okay" said the police, "we'll get on it right away" and then they hung up. However, before the police investigation even got started the phone rang again. It was the same blond on the line. "Never mind", she said. "I got into the back seat by mistake." Ha! See ya next year!!! |
